Offering a brutal analysis of her husband's swing on X, Olson posted: "Flat takeaway, no extension on the follow through, left knee bend reduced power and the hips didn't finish like we discussed. But other than that it’s beautiful."
McElhenney impressed some of the world's top players but ended the round exasperated at his own performance as the infamously frustrating game seemed to get the better of him after nine holes at the famed course on the Pacific coast.
Attention for the Wrexham co-owner turns back to football as the Red Dragons travel to Blackburn on Monday night for an FA Cup fourth-round tie backed by a travelling support of 7,000 fans, where they will be hoping for a place in the last 16 of the famous competition.
